How it works

Designed for kids aged 6-12, Earth Rangers Clubs have been created to support eco-clubs to take eco-action. Kids learn a lot about biodiversity and climate change, developing important skills while having tons of fun!

Club members accept a mission addressing an environmental topic such as our carbon footprint or battery recycling. After learning more about the topic in fun interactive ways, club members work together to plan and carry out a hands-on environmental stewardship project in their local community.

Step 1: Sign up

Once you sign up, you will have access to the Earth Rangers Clubs Platform where you will find:

The Earth Rangers Clubs Leader’s Guide

This guide has everything you need to get started, including tips for effective meetings, suggestions for organizing missions and idea for celebrating the success of a meeting.

The Earth Rangers Clubs Resource Kit

This kit includes some extra resources, such as ideas for:

  • Recruiting members (including sample posters and announcements)
  • Games and Team-building Activities
  • Celebration Activities

Mission Kits

Each ready-to-go mission kit includes clear stage-by-stage instructions, straightforward background information about the topic, and handy organizational templates.

Step 2. Accept a mission and get started

Once your club has accepted a mission, it’s time to get down to business! At the rate of one meeting per week, each mission takes around 3 months to complete. However, for clubs that are meeting more frequently, such as at a day camp, they can be completed much faster.

Step 3. Celebrate your success

Once their project is finished, it is time for reflection and celebration! After submitting a short mission report, your club will receive a Mission Accomplished Certificate. The whole Earth Rangers Clubs community will be celebrating your success with you.

Step 4. Accept a new mission

What mission is your club going to accept next? Join our community of Earth Rangers Clubs in schools, community centres, libraries, and youth groups, and start making a difference today!
